It happened 1 day in Texas!!

Well my friends and followers, it happened to me!! What you ask, well I got skunked at a meeting. That's right, I did the work and so did my coach and we got skunked. No one showed that we invited. So what do I do now....Quit...cry....put my head in the sand??? Heck no, I get up, dust my self off and try again. So many times I have seen people have a meeting and get skunked. Normally it is in there own town, mine was in Texas and I am in Michigan. Between me and my coach we spent $1000 trying to put butts in the seats.
So now what do I do?? Well I take this as a lesson and make the next time better. This was probably the best trip I have ever taken! Why you ask?? Well I got a chance to sit with the top people in our company and then I got to learn from those same great people. See I have always believed that if you want to be the best you need to do what the best do. I didn't know what they were doing, now I do! I sat there quietly, watched and listened as they told what they were doing. I took notes, I got every hand out, I talked to them privately every chance I got about things that I had questions about.
Do I feel like my trip to Texas was worth it?? Yes it was worth more then I spent and then some!! I got to meet Robert Hudgens, who in my opinion is a great leader and will be around along time. I met Charlene Bucher who is trying to make her Texas team a superstar team and I promise you, she will succeed. I meant Aaron Mathis & his wife who both are great people and impressed me. I crossed paths with Jason Diebold, AKA Puckhead and I met someone who is a genuine leader and who is now someone I look up to! I meant many other leaders in the Texas group and I know some great things are going to happen south of the Mason Dixon line!!
One of the people that impressed me the most was Chris Simonian, the former president of MDB and a very knowledgeable person. Before I went to Texas I didn't know much about Chris, But now that I have met him, I realize he is one of the best minds in our industry. I could spend hours listening to him speak. See he knows this business and his views are amazing. He changed how I look at Team Beachbody and how I will build my business. I will post more on this later, watch for it!!
I also got to meet the one and only Barbie and all I can say is WOW! See Barbie is my coach and I am very impressed with her. I was before but now I understand her better and I see that she is really someone who coaches from the heart. She believes in her customers and her coaches. She has a power within her that will cause anyone to get excited about fitness and Team Beachbody. She is destined to be great and she is on the way! All I can say is she had me from Hello!!
Well there you have it, my confession and my tale of a day in Texas. I have been in this type of business before and had a lot of success as well as having a couple other businesses in other industries and having success with those also. I thought I had it down and it wouldn't happen to me. I was dead wrong and I am man enough to say it. The moral to the story is that I am also smart enough to learn from my mistakes and make the most of what I was dealt!! Well last weekend in Dallas Texas I thought I got dealt a losing had, but before I knew it I had a WINNING HAND!!! Thanks to everyone in the Lone Star state for the hospitality!!

Asking the Question???

When talking with a coach the other night, I remembered a fatal mistake that alot of coach's make when they have a prospect they just finished giving a presentation to?? They get all excited or scared and don't ask "Are you ready to get involved??" I have seen it time and time again where the coach doesn't ask. Why??
If you put the time in and you feel that you have given them enough information to make a decision, why not ask?? Then if they have any questions you can answer them, if they have objections, then you are not wasting your time or theirs.
The moral of the story is DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK, YOU NEVER KNOW UNTIL YOU DO!!!
I was speaking to Robert Hudgens the other day and something he said made alot of sense. He said if someone wants to start a business, then is $200 dollars really alot of money to invest?? No, not if the person you are talking to is serious. Come on people, if they don't want to put that much into their future then why should you waste your time!!!

Work with the BEST, Forget the rest!!

I have been asked this question over and over again. What do I do about my coaches who don't want to work??? My answer is always the same...Let them know you are there, keep feeding them information, but do not, I REPEAT do not lose any sleep over it!!
To many times I have seen people come and go in this type of business. It is all about timing and if you try to force people to work, they will disappear faster then they appeared. The one thing we tend to forget as we get fired up and get going is that this is a volunteer army and the people who are in our downline don't have to be??
The best thing to do is drip on them, let them know what you and your team are doing. Don't be pushy or try to be a boss. We signed up for this because we didn't want a boss or a supervisor. By pushing someone who isn't working, you tend to give them a feeling of being in a job job, if you know what i mean. The main reason people do network marketing is that they want freedom, not to be told "get to work!!"
So next time you feel the need to tell someone who is not working the business like they should to get to it, take a deep breath, count to 5, then tell them that you are having a blast and you wish they were working so they could join you at the top!! Till next time!!

Over 10 years ago I got out of this type of home based biz and swore I would never do it again! Then I found Beach Body. I didn't go looking for another business opportunity, I was looking for a way to lose weight and get healthy. I started doing a program called Slim In 6 and the pounds started to fall off but I quit less then 3 weeks in!

Then around Christmas of 2008 with my marraige falling apart and just about everything else in my life going wrong, my wife told me about a new program she ordered from Beach Body. It was called ChaLEAN Extreme and it saved my marraige, and my life! Now just over 6 weeks into the program I have lost over 20lbs and changed my life forever!! After we started the program I got on the phone with my coach, a wonderful person I became aquainted with when I tried SI6. Her name is Barbie, yes I know like the doll and she is one!! I asked her about the BeachBody Revolution and the rest is what we will call history!! Now you need to understand, my wife and I already have a successful business in the archery industry and we were not looking for anything else to do. After looking at the entire program we decided we couldn't lose, Heck we could save 25% on the products we were going to buy anyway!!

But then I spent some time looking into the entire program and realized that there had never been a multi-level marketing company with the program that Beach Body had put together. That's when I got excited!! And I mean really excited. See, heres the deal, we were high level directors in the last network biz we were in. Now that company had over 100,000 people involved when we joined so it was no where as young as BB and the program never did any advertising on TV, much less spend $90 million dollars a year. Plus BB puts customers into your business!! Folks there has never been a home business like this before and I mean never!! The other thing is that it is based around programs that work, not magnets or discounts on shampoo. This program is built on one of the largest industries in our beloved USA!!
